Movie stylist Patricia Field envisioned Carrie as having matured in many ways. "I saw Carrie a little more sexy, a little more evolved, a little more calm with herself as a woman. She was still going through her eclectic things, and she was gaining in her profession."

To come to a costume fitting with someone like Pat Field, where there are at least 16, 20 racks of things, it's just a free-for-all of trying things on. It's like going to a fabulous trunk show."
A wild array of haute couture and vintage finds were used in the movie. Patricia Field used a mix of high-fashion items with cheaper everyday clothing and thrift-store finds. There is always in something unexpected, fresh and sometimes even outrageous.
Lucky ladies! The actresses could keep whatever clothes they wanted from the movie... it's a clause their contracts!
