5 Dodgy Adverts

accreditation
Here are the top 5 of raciest ads...

UK's first sex toy advert.
When this ad was first launched in Britain, one parenting group started foaming at the mouth over its raunchiness. Except, well, it turned out to be rather tame (85% of our readers agree). Frankly, we’ve seen steamier perfume ads. Still, we’re including it in this list because airing a sex toy advertisement during family time could herald a new era in TV advertising and, to some extent, it broke a taboo around bedroom playthings.

IKEA Tidy Up
Steamy kissing, tonguing spaghetti and a vibrator in the wrong hands… These Ikea ads were actually rather witty and really funny (for those with a slightly sick sense of humour). Either way, parenting groups weren’t chuckling and so the commercials were banned from UK television. But, this being the internet, you can still enjoy them online…

Flick Your Bean ad.
This ad by Anne Summers is far from graphic, yet it never made it to TV. We think the tag line "flick your bean better" could have been spicier. Maybe if it was not from a sex toy firm Ann Summers it would have been aired.

Kylie Minogue's lingerie advert.
Sexy singer Kylie Minogue is seen riding a rodeo bull in sexy lingerie, in a passionate way and then she asks the men in the audience to "stand up..no?". The ad never made it to TV, but it was allowed to air in cinemas before it became a hit online.

Vegetarian advert.

This steamy ad from UK Vegetarian Society never made it to TV though – probably because of all that sexual innuendo.
