Gigi Hadid's epic April Fool's joke had social media abuzz

This past Saturday Gigi Hadid had social media fingers racing yet again, but this time around for some good, clean fun. 

The model posted a selfie on Instagram that seemed to be a "hair today, gone tomorrow" haircut announcement without a caption, just a scissors emoji.

Amidst all the silly comments celebrities get on their posts, like "OMG please follow me!", a lot of her followers called her bluff, while also acknowledging how great her chop suited her.

But as stunning as the selfie of the seemingly freshly-chopped blonde was, it was actually just an optical illusion (all the right angles and a deceiving hairdo).

Gigi later admitted on Twitter that she was just pulling our leg.

Okay, Gigi, okay. You almost had us.
