Shipwrecked braids just became our new spring hair fave

accreditation
Styling brand, ghd collaborated with fashion designer Erdem at London Fashion Week where hairstylist Anthony Turner created a look inspired by the 16th century as well as by the sea - cleverly dubbed, shipwrecked braids.

The Erdem girl is always on a journey and this season she’s from the 16th century and has been at sea, so she’s sporting wispy, shipwrecked braids – Anthony Turner.
  • He first created a matte texture by applying a salt spray to the hair before blow drying it with a ghd hair dryer.
  • He followed this with creating a beach wave using a ghd curl tong before making two pigtails that were braided at the base of the neck.
  • To finish the look Anthony tied a piece of black matte ribbon around the hair to form a bow.
