This was the year of the blunt-cut bob, according to BET. And rightly so! The cut, highly influenced by Kim K, was worn sleek or edgy, and was a hairdo must-have.

But it’s not a new trend – sorry, Kim. According to Elle UK, the cut was created by Polish-born hairdresser Antoine de Paris in France in 1909 and is still one of the most versatile cuts to sport – whether it’s long, aka “the Lob”; shoulder length and choppy; or a blunt jaw-skimmer.
