How to get those brows on point

Pretorians can now have their brows on fleek too.

The Brow Bar – the grooming and beauty station that already exists in Clearwater Mall and Mall of the South in Jo'burg and La Lucia Mall in Durban – is now getting a branch in Menlyn Mall.

“The Brow Bar is South Africa’s first franchised and patented, no-appointment, express brow and lash bar with a range of services for both men and women. All in the name of better brows,” says their press release.

You can get personalised consultations with them and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini has been known to visit them to get hers done. I checked out their brochure and they offer some beauty treatments I’ve never even heard of. Take “lash perming” (R600), for instance, which they say is a “facial enhancing beauty treatment designed to give straight lashes an extremely attractive upward curl”.

And then there’s “microblading”, where they create “natural-looking, realistic hair strokes with permanent eyebrow make-up”.

If you don’t feel you need perming or blading and just want to get those brows neatened, they do a shape and thread for R300.
