How to nail 3 offbeat brow trends in real life

accreditation

Brows have gone from plucked and penciled-in, to arches that rival ancient architecture, to perfectly groomed and Instagram-ready.

So what could possibly be next?

Well this year's makeup trends have ushered in a new wave of "fun-brows" and they might be just the inspo you need to up your facebeat if you're gutsy enough to try something unconventional.

This means playing around with glitter, colourful liquid liners and perhaps more eyeshadow on your brows than on your eyelids.

Maybe a little something like this?

But if you're not brave enough to go that extreme just yet, here are 3 other brow trends to try:

1. Glitter eyebrows

You've tried glitter on your lips, now put it on your brows.

Beauty aficionados have used almost every colour in the rainbow to bring this trend to life, and silver and gold glitter seem to be the go-to for a lot of people dabbling in this 'do.

YES to metallic brows!

2. Feather eyebrows

This one requires no liners or colour, just a spoolie brush.

All you have to do is split each eyebrow in the middle to resemble the stem of a feather; then brush up and brush down on either side of the middle parting.

And what you get is this:

Super fly, right?

3. Bright and bold eyebrows

For when your natural brow shade is just not cutting it anymore.

A few beauty vloggers have been doing this one for a while now, but it seems to have only gained traction late last year.

And no, it doesn't involve dying your brows. All you need to achieve this look are ink liners and mascara in the colour of your choice, which you use in pretty much the same way you would for fleeky IG eyebrows.

Ta-da! Happy brow-ing!
