New L'Oréal campaign proves beauty comes in all shades, shapes and genders

The campaign stars actress and transgender activist Hari Nef, a pregnant Blake Lively, Darnell Bernard, and a few other brand ambassadors and spokespeople of different skin colours, ethnic backgrounds and hair textures.

"By featuring a diverse blend of individuals and illustrating their individual skin stories, our new True Match campaign celebrates the power and beauty of feeling comfortable in your own skin." said Tim Coolican, Deputy General Manager.

This new campaign came after Maybelline announced that male beauty star Manny Gutierrez would be fronting their new mascara campaign and Covergirl's announcement of a 17-year-old James Charles as their first ever cover boy.

Even though we still have a long way to go before diversity becomes the norm, we must applaud any efforts beauty brands when making their brands more inclusive to people of all ages, sizes, genders and sexual orientations.
