Pass the mascara, dear! Devoted husband is learning how to do his wife’s make-up before she goes blind

One elderly man’s amazing gesture to his wife has the internet’s heart melting. Senior couple Brian and Jean have been making regular trips to their local make-up store recently, but not because they want to stock up on Jean’s make-up collection.

Rather, Brian has having lessons on how to apply Jean’s make-up before she goes blind and is unable to do it herself.

According to the Daily Mail, a store employee shared the heart-warming story online, saying this was the reason she loved her job so much.

“Meet Jean and Brian, two of our very loyal customers,” the unidentified employee wrote. “Brian was in for another make-up lesson today as he does his wife’s make-up every day as she is going blind, such a wonderful couple who live their life to the full! [sic]”

In the image, Brian can be seen smiling while standing behind Jean, who’s sitting on a make-up stool. She’s looking delighted with her expertly applied red lipstick and eyeshadow.

The adorable photo has been shared on Twitter and the post has managed to rake up more than 72 000 retweets and 221 000 likes.

People were quick to tag their loved ones in the post in order to encourage them to do the same.

“If I go blind you better study up watch some YouTube tutorials, make sure I glow still,” a woman named Nicole tweeted to her partner.
Others lamented the fact that they might be alone forever.

“Nobody's going to love me like that!” one Twitter user grumbled.
