The Happy hitmaker is one of the busiest men in Hollywood, juggling a music career with his fashion ventures, such as his Adidas Originals line, and his booming skincare brand - Humanrace.

Pharrell is also often questioned about his youthful looks, and has now revealed that the secret to his flawless skin is exfoliating.

"I exfoliate like a madman," he told dazeddigital.com of skincare routine.

"When you exfoliate and you drink a lot of water, that does good for you. To me, the key is just exfoliating, like a monster. There's a lot of dead skin. All the time. Like a narcissistic madman," he said.

The 48-year-old is very specific when it comes to his outfit choices too. Pharrell respects the work of the late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, Phoebe Philo and Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo, but also looks to "everyday people" when putting his attire together.

"It's like, the maintenance man, he does maintenance, and so his clothes have a utility function. He's going to wear it with that kind of swagger, so he shows you how to wear it. When I started wearing trucker hats, maybe 20 years ago, that was because I was seeing truckers wearing them and was like, that's kind of cool," the star explained.

When it came to the inspiration behind his Adidas line from 2017, and the accompanying campaign titled Don't Be Quiet Please, he looked to the outfits worn by tennis players during the '70s. In particular, Pharrell tried to emulate a similar sense of "swagger" in his creations, which included knee-high socks, sneakers, dresses and polo tops.

"Not that today's players don't have that kind of confidence, but what I'm saying is the way the colourway, the silhouette, the swagger all worked together was very specific to the 70s. I don't know if you see it in the 80s or the 60s in that same way," he added.
