Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich(Random House)
Janet Evanovich started the series with One for the Money more than fourteen years ago and she's still entertaining us with capers of Stephanie: bounty hunter and huge fan of confectionary.
In Fearless Fourteen she helps her on/off boyfriend Joe Morelli find out who keeps on breaking into his house. The delightfully mysterious Ranger is also back and she helps him guard a sexagenarian singer named Brenda.
Ex-hooker and larger than life Lula, teams up with Stephanie and the two of them gets themselves into more than one ridiculous situation. Connie and Grandma Mazur are on top form as their usual wacky selves and the pace is fast and the action funny.
If you haven't read Evanovich, it's the perfect time to start. It's not necessary to have read the previous books, although you might just want to after you've been introduced to her world. Fearless Fourteen is a hugely enjoyable, quick, funny and quirky read.
