The book review challenge

"So, it's that time of the month again..."

Whenever I use this phrase, the Women24 team know that it's time to brace themselves.

I hound them relentlessly for reviews, and although they are very grabby book sluts, I sometimes get the feeling that my relentless nagging for book reviews drives them rather batty.

No one knows this better than Sam. Which is why she cleverly decided to issue a review challenge to all our Twitter followers in the hope I’ll overlook her own review silence.

Here's the thing though. These books don't necessarily reflect what you, our readers, are currently reading.

And the Women24 book club isn't just about us. It's about you too.

Which is why I want to do something a little different. It turns out that quite a number of our Twitter followers were quite eager to submit reviews for the book club, so we decided, why not issue the same challenge here?

We'd love to feature your reviews in our monthly newsletter, so if you're keen on recommending and reviewing a book that you think should be featured on our newsletter, then email and submit your reviews to us here.

Your book doesn't have to be the latest, the hottest or even a best-seller. Instead, it should be a book that you genuinely love and can read over and over again.

To make things  even more interesting, our favourite review will not only be featured as the book of the month, but the reviewer will win our top ten books from Kalahari.net as well as a case of wine from Perdeberg.

While you're at it, be sure to check out Kim (a regular book club reviewer), Jenna and Michelle's (our newbie reviewers) book reviews.

Here's this month list of top 10 reads

Life according to Lubka

The Various Flavours of Coffee

Recipe For Life
Under the Dome
The Curse of the Gloamglozer
