Most Romantic SA Destinations

So you've worked out your wedding budget and discovered that you don't have enough to go on that dream trip to Paris.  This doesn't mean you have to panic (or feel depressed about it).

Of course, while we all would no doubt love to lounge around in a deck chair, soaking up the sun at some exotic island resort, budget constraints are quick to put a stop to all the daydreaming. So what next then?
Well, some of our readers think that honeymooning in SA is the best and most affordable way to go.  If you need any more reason to stay right in our backyard for your post-nuptial trip, check out the recommendations  from our readers below.

Lauren:  We went to Cape Town for our honeymoon and had the most amazing time! Lots to see, amazing food & divine wine!

Cheryl:
We spent ours at Stanley Island, in Plett. It was bliss, no TVs and no radios. We had part of the beach to ourselves at one time and the only way of accessing the resort is via boat (your car parks in the lot and is safe). Those small boat trips to and from the resort was very special for us. The suites are also very beautiful and well maintained. Check out their site!

Patty: Stunning Cape Town no doubt!

Julie: Nelspruit is beautiful,  and there's also places like Durban and Limpopo. Cape Town ain't the only option.

Kerry:  Kosi Bay was stunning - being from Cape Town it was also very different.

Dawnd: South Africa is more expensive than other countries for a holiday.  It is loads cheaper to go to Zanzibar or Kenya; to go locally costs a small fortune.

Angeliqueca: We went to Umgazi River Lodge and let me tell you, it was absolutely wonderful! The staff went out of their way to make each day a memorable one!

Nicky: Tsitsikamma Lodge and The Garden Route!

Melissa:
Knysna & The Garden Route. The most beautiful place ever. So much activities 2 do. Check out www.honeymoonsolutions.co.za. You won't be sorry.

De Tsho:
For me, Mpumalanga( Krugernatinal National Park) in Nelspruit is to die for, there's a lot of natural features there to visit. I like the quietness of it and the fresh air.
