Make-up pro SJ Froom has detailed her top tips for brides-to-be, from not trying new skincare on your wedding day, to what the current bridal make-up trend is.

Skincare

"Whatever happens, don't risk trying anything new!" SJ exclaimed. "Stick to what you know your skin responds well to as you want to feel as comfortable as possible for the day. Although I do recommend avoiding balms as they can sometimes reflect back on camera."

How to choose your perfect make-up look

"It really is all about personal preference and ultimately I recommend going for a look that you feel comfortable in," the expert noted. "Remember, your groom wants to see you looking like you on your wedding day!"

Current beauty trends for brides-to-be

"Modern day brides want to look glowing, fresh and natural. Gone are the days of thick bridal makeovers - these days it's more about the 'makeunder'," she shared. "This means strategically placed make up including glowing bases, translucent finishing products, and neutral tones to get the 'no make-up, make-up' look."

Taking your look from day to night

"The easiest way is to create a bolder eye or lip look," SJ advised. "A smoky eye is a classic, timeless look and can be easily achieved by applying a deep Eyeshadow across the crease of the eyelid and in the outer corners of the eye. For winter weddings, running a sparkly gold across the lash line also looks really effective."
