And if you’ve been on your best bridesmaids duties and helped pick the dress, organised the hen do and just generally been there for the bride-to-be, well now is your time to shine too.
Make-up Artist Alina Milos, one half of Lin&Lo Mineral Make-up has shared her top tips with Cover Media.
“It is essential that you choose a flawless and long lasting foundation that matches your skin tone. I recommend Lin&Lo Cream Foundation Powder Finish,” Alina said. “This luxurious cream foundation provides a smooth healthy look all day long, thanks to its silky and soft texture. Its mineral ingredients create a sublime matte finish and produce an optical effect to make the skin's complexion perfectly even.
Benefit’s Hello Flawless! Oxygen Wow Liquid Foundation is also a great product for flawless skin.
“To accentuate the cheekbones, I apply Lin&Lo Mineral Blush in a pearl finish onto the apple of the cheeks and work in using small circular to create a luminous, radiant glow,” the make-up guru recommended.
Or go for Tanya Burr Chasing the Sun Peonies Illuminating Powder, which is our new make-up must have.
“Choosing an eye shadow colour can be very personal, I advise bridesmaids to choose an eye shadow shade that enhances their eye colour or ties in with the bridal theme,” Alina suggested.
“For extra definition use an eye pencil to accentuate the outer edges of the eyes and make the lashes stand out. I start at the outer edge of the eyes and work in towards the nose, making the line thinner so it gradually fades into the lash line.” And don’t forget to groom your brows, as they frame your whole face.
“To define the lashes, I use Lin&Lo Instant Love Mascara that provides a stunning 3D lashes effect with just a few strokes. This clever mascara adds volume and provides intense colour to the lashes, while giving a clump-free separation. Apply one coat for a natural look and two coats for a dramatic lash effect,” she said. Wunder2’s new Lash Extension is also a good shout, and will make lashes look like you’ve got falsies on.
As for lips, don’t go for anything too dramatic so to not distract from your bride. Pick a colour that complements both your skin tone and dress colour, and make sure you blot before you walk down the aisle – lipstick on the teeth is the ultimate no-no.© Cover Media
