Some of the most popular variations are:
Shoulder-length Short, fun and less formal, this veil shows the shoulders and is light and easy to wear. It suits more modern dresses, so would not look good with a ball gown.
Elbow-length A versatile veil that can be worn with most dresses. It extends to anywhere from just above the elbows to the fingertips.
Waterfall This kind of veil is cut like a cape, falling in folds that are shorter in the front but extend to the floor at the back. It looks best with a long, narrow dress.
Cathedral The veil for a very grand affair, it cascades more than two metres from the headpiece. Wear it with an elaborate ball gown.
