So in case you missed it, the internet went a little crazy over Rebeca Abrantes, a computer engineering student from Brazil, who asked her classmates to act as her bridesmaids.
The catch? All of her closest friends are guys.
According to Buzzfeed, Rebeca decided to ask five of her closest male friends to take pre-wedding preparation photos with her as she doesn’t really have any close female friends (in an instagram post she mentions that those female friends she is close to live too far away) and didn’t want to feel left out of doing the pre-bridal shoot day – the way so many brides do with their bridal entourage.
And luckily for her - and because her friends are clearly the best and most awesome kind - they were game right away. She told Buzzfeed that they were really happy to pose in pink robes and though she planned for it to be a toned down affair, it quickly become so much more when her makeup artist arrived on the scene.
Personally we can’t get enough of this. It’s clearly time for us to find us some guy friends who’ll be in our bridal squad.
On her actual wedding day, she kept the affair rather simple and didn’t have any bridesmaids in her party, but given the epic photo shoot with her dude bros, well, it’s obvious she had the time of her life on both days.
