Astromatch: William and Kate

accreditation
The royal engagement was the biggest news of last few months, and we’re sure the couple are feeling the pressure to create a lavish ceremony and lasting marriage.

While Prince William and future princess Kate Middelton have kept their love (mostly) under the radar, it’s all about to come into the limelight after their wedding day. Will the pair’s love last or could the young couple buckle under the pressure? We turn to the stars for the answers.

Prince William: The caring Cancer
Born on 21 June, Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales, just slips under the sign of Cancer (his name is a mouthful isn’t it?). The second in line for the throne, William is at heart a family man – clearly he takes his responsibilities seriously since he has managed to avoid scandalous whispers, unlike his younger brother Harry.

Williams biggest tabloid scandal has been his relationship with Kate Middleton, who was one of his flatmates in varsity. It looks like we’ll have to wait until the wedding to get a snap of the couple smooching.

In fact, most paparazzi pics of William show him in his capacity in the military – remember his first rescue mission earlier this year? When he’s not playing a military hero, Will is fulfilling his princely duties, serving as Counsellor of State and touring Europe. Quite typical, when you consider that a Cancerian man will do all he can to protect and take care of his family.

But we’ve seen that William’s need to nurture has blossomed to help those outside his blue-blood family too.

Those born under this starsign have a tendency to be generous and sensitive to situations around them. William’s humanitarian nature is world-reknowned (did he get this character trait from his mother , Princess Diana?).

The prince has worked with a number of organizations to better the world – from volunteering to pack Red Cross emergency supplies to being a patron of an organization which aids community development in Africa.

According to his starsign, the prince would also make a playful father – so we hope to see snaps of him swinging his children in the park in a few years.

Already, we’ve seen signs of his love for children when he worked in the children’s unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2005. Crabs are generally very traditional and have a special bond with their mother – we’re sure this trait is heightened for William, who gave Kate his mother’s engagement ring.

But, before you idolize William, take off those rose-tinted glasses because Cancerians can also be very moody. It comes with all that sensitivity, you see. We hope Kate is perceptive enough to follow the rhythms of his moods…

Kate Middleton: Classy Capricorn
We’ve already seen that Catherine Elizebeth Middelton is reserved – the first time she spoke out about her and William’s relationship was after their engagement. Born on 9 January, Kate’s starsign is associated with a solemn approach to duty and responsibility.

Those born under Capricorn tend to be serious, and have fantastic organizational skills. We’re sure this will come in handy in the build-up to what has been dubbed “The wedding of the century”.

While most would buckle under the pressure of representing royalty, Kate values tradition and is likely to understand her role in the family. The Capricorn woman’s family values keep her grounded but while being a wife and mother is fulfilling,

Capricornians love being productive outside the home too, so  we’re likely to see Kate being involved in projects outside the home.

This should not pose a problem for the couple, as long as she feels appreciated by her husband. We’re sure Kate’s sure hand and reserved demeanour will help William overcome his Cancerian tendency to worry.

According to the stars, this couple’s compatibility is faultless – their mutual family values and tendency to shy away from the tabloids has the makings of a beautiful royal couple.

Have you ever dated a Cancer man? What was that experience like? What do you think of their nature?
