"My interviewer saw me in my leopard print bra"

accreditation
I went for my very first interview after college and managed to think that I had the interview prep part down. As I sat in the waiting area, I decided to get some water.

Somehow, I managed to spill the entire glass of water onto my white shirt revealing a leopard print bra. To add to that horror, my heel broke, allowing me to fall face down onto the carpet, and let out a fart out of nowhere.

Flushed and embarrassed I went into the interview looking as if a ran through a salvation army store with my bun undone and makeup smudged. I endured the snickering from the panel and managed to will through the interview.

I’ll have you know I got that job and I stayed with the company for two years; and I was every so often reminded of my face-plant and interview by my colleagues. - Lindsay

I was fresh out of high school, I had no idea what I was going to study, so I decided to work a bit and take a year off. I applied for a retail job.

The owner called me, saying him and his wife (she manages the stores) would like an interview with me. They suggested that I meet them at a coffee shop and a relaxed interview. Well, things were going well.

The husband and wife and their really REALLY hot son were all there. I thought I had a good chance of getting this job.

Until, my creamochino came.

Firstly, who orders a creamochino in an interview?! Obviously I was a ball of nerves, I didn't think about how hot my coffee was and proceeded to take a sip.

It messed all over my shirt and bra and if things couldn't get any worse - the shirt was white and exposed my white bra.

Great, there goes that job. Luckily, I could hide it quite well with my cardigan, but I knew it was embarrassing and obvious.

But it doesn't stop there.

After the interview, they said they would get back to me. Just as I was walking to my car to text my friend about how I would b*** their hot son, I sent it to the father. OH. MY. GOSH. Now that job would never be mine. Who even does that?!

Funny thing happened the next day, when I got a call saying I'm hired and they'd like me to start immediately. I actually worked for them full-time for a year and part-time for four years after that.

Was it the SMS that got me the job? Who knows, but it was the best job of my life. - Kristi
