Yes, you read right.

According to the Associated Press, the British publishing house Bloomsbury will release the books in conjunction with the British Library's "A History of Magic" exhibition.

The exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the launch of the series and will open in October and run through until February 2018.

While the books are not actual continuations of the Harry Potter story, they are about Harry Potter’s world.

The first book, Harry Potter: A History of Magic – The Book of the Exhibition, will take readers and fans through the journey of everything they need to know about the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The second book, Harry Potter – A Journey Through A History of Magic, will give readers insight into witchcraft overall.

The exhibition promises to take readers on a fascinating journey through the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - from alchemy and potions classes through to herbology and ancient witchcraft.

And that's not all: there will also be specially commissioned essays for each subject areas by an expert or cultural commentator which are inspired by the contents of the exhibition.

These include insightful contributions from Steve Backshall, the Reverend Richard Coles, Roger Highfield, Steve Kloves, Anna Pavord and Tim Peake, who offer personal perspectives on their magical themes.

Think "vials of dragon's blood, mandrake roots, painted centaurs and a genuine witch's broomstick," among others.

We're not the only ones who are thrilled by the news:

SAME.

Both books will be published in October, and we can't wait!
