8 times celebs shut down body shamers

accreditation
"Lose some weight." "Eat a sandwich." "That's photoshopped."

We all feel pressure to look good, but this nothing to the pressure celebrities feel.

Their every move is monitored under a microscope and when it comes to body image, they just can't seem to win.

They are either too fat or too skinny, too fake or too natural. The list really goes on and on and has us asking, can they just live?

Thankfully, when it comes to body shaming, celebs are not taking it lying down. Just look at Heidi Klum who responded to Donald Trump's negative comments in the most epic way.

Here are 8 other celebs who are not letting haters destroy their body confidence:

1. Amy Schumer

There is no denying that Amy is the comedian of the moment. She is wickedly funny, unapologetically honest and handles criticism like a pro.

Like when a journalist from Hollywood Elsewhere said that she has wide facial features, is a heavier version of Lou Costello and that she would not be the subject of a heated romance in the real world.

According the Daily Mail, Amy responded to the insulting review with this amazing tweet:

2. Ariana Grande

There are way to many trolls on the internet who continuously sprout out kak that goes unchecked and ruins our mood. But sometimes they are put into their place in the best possible way. Ariana Grande did just that after a dude commented about her boobs on one of her Instagram posts.

Instead of going into defensive mode, Ariana simply pointed out how creepy the dude is.

3. JK Rowling

JK Rowling aka Queen of all things magical showed us what winning is when she defended tennis goddess Serena Williams on Twitter. According to Allure, the author posted a picture of herself standing next to Serena, and some fool decided to tweet back saying that Serena is built like a man.

Not missing a beat, JK responded with this tweet:

4. Khloe Kardashian

It seems like a Kardashian can't take one step out of the door without being body shamed - even when they look amazing.

Take Khloe, she has been working hard and getting into shape, but the haters can't seem to give credit where credit is due. According to Buzzfeed, people have been accusing Khloe of faking her weight loss, lying about her workouts and using photoshop.

When her cover for Complex magazine was revealed, Khloe, who looked ridiculously stunning, shut the haters up with an Instagram post:

5. Emma Stone

Emma Stone reminded us that hateful comments only hurt if you allow them too. On Celebrity-Gossip.net she said that she's seen a lot of comments that tell her she looks sick or that she should eat sandwiches, and that has negatively effected her own self image and the influence it has on young girls.

Rather than lash out, she decided to call out body shaming as a whole saying that we shame each other and ourselves and it just sucks. She added that nothing can affect you unless you already feel that way about yourself. And for the record. She is not sick and she eats sandwiches.

6. Selena Gomez

The last thing that comes to mind when you think about Selena Gomez is fat. So we are confused as to why anyone would call her that. According to Hollywood Life some person ,who we can only assume has poor eyesight, made offensive comments about Selena's weight saying she needs to work out and stop eating junk food.

Selena hit back saying that the only thing she needs to do is love herself, take care of her work  fans family and friends. She added that she does work out and it is not the shamer's place to tell people what they should and shouldn't do. She followed up with this gorgeous Instagram saying "I love being happy with me":

I love being happy with me yall #theresmoretolove ??

7. Lady Gaga

Like Selena, Lady Gaga received some criticism after posting a picture of herself in a swim suit on Instagram. According to Distractify, rather than call out the haters, Gaga ignored them and chose to engage with the fans who came to her defense.

I love a night swim, so quiet, put on some jazz and just soak

8. Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy slays the comedy game and is not afraid to get down and dirty for the sake of our entertainment. That means sometimes her characters aren't always Hollywood beautiful, like for her film Tammy. According to Buzzfeed, a critic called out Melissa's looks saying that she is a good actress when she looks attractive and that her husband should not direct her because he lets her look hideous.

Well, fate allowed Melissa to meet that critic where she made him realise just how harmful his words are, especially to young girls who read what he writes. She asked him if his daughter came home and said she could get a job because she was unattractive would he say, yes that is right. She also pointed out that he wouldn't write that about a man and that the US tears down women for superficial reasons.

Check out Melissa recounting the incident on Ellen:
