At the premiere of Brad Pitt’s new movie, World War Z, Ange showed appreciation to her supporters: "I feel wonderful, and I'm very grateful for all the support. It's meant a lot to me.”
The actress says she’s happy to see that her decision to open up about her procedure has had such a huge impact: "I've been very happy to see the discussion about women's health expanded. That means the world to me, and after losing my mom to these issues I'm very grateful for it," says Angie who lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to ovarian cancer in 2007.
But it’s not just her mom that she’s lost. Two weeks after Angelina made the announcement about her double mastectomy, she lost her aunt to breast cancer.
Her soon-to-be husband, Brad, says: "I'm very proud and just relieved that that's not going to be the thing that takes her out. The biggest fear as a father is keeping the family alive and safe and together, and she did that for us."
