Harry Daniel stars as Beat Generation poet Allen Ginsberg, and has several scenes in the movie where he engages in masturbation, and gay sex. Now that's one way to shed the child star image.

The film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival recently, and Daniel says he finds it "very strange" that many people are focusing on his gay sex scenes in the film.

“It’s interesting that it’s deemed shocking. For me, there’s something very strange about that because we see straight sex scenes all the time. We’ve seen gay sex scenes before. And I don’t know why a gay sex scene should be any more shocking than a straight sex scene. Or both of them are equally un-shocking,” he says to MTV News.

I think Daniel might be missing the point. I doubt people are actually shocked by the sex scenes themselves (though I might be wrong), but by the fact that little Harry Potter is masturbating on screen.
