I never thought I’d see the day when Dolly Parton got on stage and started rhyming like a lyrical genius. Thank you Queen Latifah.
According to People, Dolly, or as we like to call her, D Parteezee, laid down them rhymes as she performed on Queen Latifah’s self-titled TV show.
She gave a shout out to celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Miley Cyrus, saying things like “I’m working, I’m twerking. Hey Miley, I got your wrecking balls right here...” as she pointed to her ample bossom.
Her rhymes were so good (and so funny) that I found myself wondering why she hadn’t considered a career as a hip hop star.
I mean, if Miley can go from doing Hannah Montana to rapping in a Mike WiLL Made-it song, then maybe Dolly can reinvent her career too.
And then D Parteezee (playfully) took a shot at Queen Latifah saying that she’s more hardcore than the Queen of Hip Hop. Oh no, she didn’t! Queen Latifah (who looks absolutely amazing, by the way) took it all in her stride and cheered Dolly on from the sidelines.
We think it’s awesome that this 67-year-old woman, who also happens to be Miley’s godmother, is still up for a laugh and isn’t afraid to make a fool of herself. Go D Parteezee!
