While the rest of us watched Miley’s VMA performance in sheer awkwardness and disbelief, Justin didn’t think it was a big deal.
"Listen, man, you know, it's the VMAs. What did you guys expect?" Justin told Jim Douglas of the Jim and Kim radio show.
“I like Miley. I like her a lot… she’s young, she’s letting everyone know she’s growing up.”
We’re not sure twerking on a man dressed like Beetlejuice is really an appropriate way to show the world how grown up you are, but that’s just my theory.
Justin also mentioned that similar raunchy performances have taken place at the VMAs in the past. Remember the kiss shared between Madonna and Britney Spears in 2003?
Clearly anything goes at the VMAs; artists can do as they will. We can only imagine what next year’s show will have in store for us.
