Lilo hooks up with John Mayer

accreditation
The actress shunned her former lover Samantha Ronson to try and spend time with John Mayer at New York's Butter nightclub last week.

A source said: "She would follow his every move. He would dance with the waitresses and then come back. She was way into it. Sam and Lindsay were getting along great but as friends."

Lindsay and John were said to still be partying together at 3am, though it is unclear if they left together.

However, Lindsay sent John a message on social networking website Twitter a little later on that morning saying: "@johncmayer shhhhhhhhhhhhhh butter-face :). (sic)"

The hunky rocker failed to respond publicly to Lind's message but did reveal to his fans he is having women troubles as he is being pursued by several girls.

He Tweeted: "I've got two women texting me they want to come over. What's that, Modern Warfare 2? You understand me? Done. Night, ladies!"

Mayer has previously romanced a string of beautiful women, including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

He recently claimed that he avoided talking to women because his previous relationships had been a nightmare. "I should be having sex with more girls," he said. "It's crazy to me that in my head, that being 32 and dating women is going to get me in trouble. I can't even explain to you how terrible that feels, that I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment, reproach, reprimand, persecution."

John Mayer and Lindsay Lohan? We're not sure about this hook-up. Do you think it'll last?
