The famous Pirelli Calendar has evolved a lot over the years. Last year, Annie Leibovitz was given the freedom to take the calendar in a whole new direction and opted to show empowered women of all ages and shapes and in different fields.
This year they have taken a step further and decided to use ‘women of achievement.
Well-known photographer Peter Lindbergh took raw, unphotoshopped images (a project titled ‘Emotional’) of some of the most famous women in the world.

The 2017 calendar, which is the 44th edition, decided to do a similar theme celebrating natural beauty and femininity according to ELLE. It features 40 images of 14 award-winning actresses, including: Lupita Nyong'o, Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, Helen Mirren, Julianne Moore , Charlotte Rampling, Léa Seydoux, Uma Thurman, Alicia Vikander, Kate Winslet, Robin Wright, and Zhang Ziyi.
