The wild, daredevil traveller

Your energetic personality and the inherent feeling of being limited or constrained means that you usually take things up a notch. When it comes to adventure, let's call you an extremist because nothing ordinary easily satisfies you, so we've got the perfect places for you.

Where you should go: Tianmen Mountain, China and Mount Everest, Nepal

China's glass-bottom bridge has seen many freaked out, unwilling (and some unable) to cross it. Almost the length of three soccer fields, it hangs 300 metres off the ground and connects two mountain cliffs –  known as the Avatar mountains (the film was shot here) in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province.

If that isn't enough, skydiving over Mount Everest will surely meet (and exceed) your expectactions of extreme sport. Everest Skydive takes you more than 8000 metres over Mount Everest — the highest skydive in the world — and will give you the chance to have a bird's eye view of the heart of the Sherpa country.

The adrenaline-pumping sport is an 11-day event that involves hiking and mountain climbing, and a total of three jump days.

The spiritual traveller

Your spiritual nature and artistic traits have you feeling settled in places where noise is almost entirely non-existent. All that you enjoy taking in is the surrounding nature, be it the wind hitting the trees or the chirps of Robin birds.

Where you should go: Peru

You're seeking peace and harmony, and this is exactly where you are going to find it. Be it a spiritual-(re)awakening or a spiritual enlightement, the ancient and mystical spaces in this country is a power point that will rejuvenate and heal those who visit it.

From Lake Titicaca and the Sacred Valley to the Amazon rainforest, there is nothing dull about discovering these sites. Check out Ayahuasca Healing Retreat – according to their site, this retreat works on all aspects of your being – the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and "allows you to experience expanded awareness and connect with your inner soul and higher self".

Miss Independent

Courageous, detemined, and, above all – independent. These are the three strongest points of your personality, notes astrology-zodiacsigns.com.

Travelling solo to all 190+ countries of the world is your ultimate dream goal, and we've got the first two to get you started.

Where you should go: Taipei, Taiwan and Saba, Caribbean

With a mix of history and modernity, the capital of Taiwan has traditional night markets with delectable eats, accessories, souvenirs and temples.

Best of all, street signage and public transportation all have names in English, and the metro system has “safe waiting zone” boxes marked on the platforms, specifically to protect female passengers during the evening.

Dubbed the "unspoiled queen of the Caribbean", Saba is the smallest island of the Dutch West Indies with a population of  less than 2 000 people. They have historic villages that have remained relatively untouched by time. If you're an avid diver, lava tunnels and hot springs are just a few of the marvelous discoveries you'll make on this unique island.

The foodie traveller

Your travel bucket list involves food, food and more food. Your zodiac sign stipulates a personality that enjoys the finer things in life like cooking and gardening, says astrology-zodiac-signs.com. And, according to Spoon University, there are five good reasons why food is an excellent reason to travel.

So whether you wish to travel to learn about new cultures through their food, or learn a few tricks and tips to take back home with you, we have just the place for you to indulge in complete satisfaction.

Where you should go: Maine, Vietnam and Jaipur

The Clam Shack is arguably one of the best seafood takeaways in the US, notes Travel and Leisure. While their menu boasts clams, clam cakes, haddock and scallops, the benches outside their store allows you to enjoy your meal while being surrounded by a colourful parade of passersby, or enjoy the sight and sound of ducks as you sit on the narrow boardwalk located right on the river.

If you want to sample the balance of salt, sweet, sour and spice, The Telegraph suggests you do so in the old centre, Hanoi in Vietnam. Here you can take to the streets and find yummy delectables like pho ga (chicken noodle soup) and xoi (sticky rice), and complete it with a traditional egg coffee.

If this sounds like your desire for food discovery, you'll have a fun street food tour at Old Quarter in Hanoi Street.

Chargrilling and barbecuing is a big part of Rajasthani cooking, and for an excellent experience of fiery food, Jaipur is your go-to place. Laal maas, a Rajhasthani goat curry is among many options that will want you coming back for more. To experience it all, visit Handi, Niros or Mughal Rasoi

The traditionalist and historic buff

You're free-spirited and yearn for connections with the past. You simply can't let go of historic events and places like the sinking of the Titanic, the fall of Berlin Wall, Yonaguni Island and Cambodia's Ta Prohm.

Where you should go: Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat and the Mayan ruins of Tikal

Machu Picchu, situated in southern Peru, is a beautiful city of ruins that lies on top of a mountain. Interestingly, it's only accessible via train or a four-day trek.

Angkor Wat (translated to "City Temple"), now commonly referred to as Ta Prohm, is Cambodia's most iconinc temple and is widely known as "Tomb Raider temple". Built in the 12th and early 13th centuries, this Cambodian destination was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.

According to Uniglobe Kalamalka Travel, unlike other temples in the region that are aligned facing the east, Angkor Wat was aligned to face the west. This means that sunset is when the temple is at its finest beauty!

The Mayan Ruins of Tikal is an ancient Mayan city located in the Guatemalan jungle. Amid the remnants of a civilisation that disappeared in the 10th century, you will find discover a plethora of history behind this place.

Although Tikal didn't disappear, it was almost completely inaccessible, leading to scientists discovering it only in 1848. A jungle airport was built in 1951, making it a desired destination for tourists.

The chilled traveller

You're an overthinker, says Zodiacfire.com, and you're highly suspicious and pessimistic. On the positive side, astrology-zodiac-signs.com notes that you're an imaginative soul that takes enormous pleasure in art and relaxing near or in water. You know what this means, right?

You need a summer vacay on an enchanted island!

Where you should go: St. Helena Island

This island is part of the British Overseas Territory and is a remote volcanic outpost in the South Atlantic Ocean. With two dive operators on the island, you can bewilder in historic wrecks, reef sharks and octopus.

Your days could be filled with perfect snorkelling activities with you capturing awe-inspiring underwater photos of sea creatures previously unbeknownst to you.
