According to Channel24, there’s a very good chance the popular Afrikaans SABC 2 soapie might not air it’s latest season, which is meant to start on Monday 24 October.
This is due to the SABC failing to finalise their contract with Danie Odendaal Productions, the production company who is in charge of the production of 7de Laan.

Sources told Channel24 that the SABC will not see another episode of 7de Laan unless the contract is signed before 24 October.
It’s not just 7de Laan that’s been affected, either. Popular Venda series, Muvhango, has also been waiting months for the SABC to sign their contracts.
Meanwhile, the public reaction to the news seems to be mixed. While many fans are sad that the show is ending, others are even asking KykNET if they’ll be taking over the series.
It's all fun and games until #7delaan gets canceled.
