Get the look: Blake Lively’s braid…

We love how Blake always mixes things up on the red carpet with fierce, fabulous and  different do’s!

We totally fell in love with Blake’s hair when she rocked an amazing tousled fishtail braid. It looked hot, hot, hot! The fishtail braid is going to be huge for Winter 2013!

Blake gave the trend her own touch with an edgier less-than-polished fishtail braid.

Want to get a beautiful braid like Blake? Follow these quick and easy steps to gorgeous glam hair…

This ‘do works best with hair that isn’t sparkly clean- wash your locks the day before  (or even two), it’s much easier to work with.

Spray a thickening spray before braiding (or you can even add extensions to increase bulk).

Now time to get braiding your fishtail braid!

1.    Divide your tresses into two sections.

2.    Take about a one-half- to one-inch portion of hair from the very outer portion of the right section and cross it over so that it joins the left section.

3.    Do the same exact step on the other side: take about a one-half- to one-inch section of hair from the very outer portion of the left side and cross it over so that it becomes part of the right section. Think of this as wrapping the hair in a figure-8 pattern.

4. Repeat, taking a section from the right and moving it over to the left.

5.    Be sure to keep a firm grip on both sections of hair as you're working to ensure your braid stays put.

6.    Finish off your ‘Blake’ braid by fastening the braid with an elastic band wrapping your hair around it- glam!
