1. Bell-sleeves
The time has come for your outfit to be the reason why people ask: "Is that a swan or a sleeve?"
Be the swan, be the sleeve, girls!
This spring we are looking forward to flailing our arms about as if they're independent from our bodies. It's not us, it's the sleeve. This '70s staple is a must for anyone wanting to turn a simple t-shirt or dress into a statement look.
Shop them at Zara, Forever New, Karen Millen, Matte Nolin and Michael Maven.
2. Fluffy footwear
This might be the perfect shoe for a bride-to-be. No cold feet!
Shop faux fur sandals and sliders at Puma and Zara; or if you have lots of dough, opt for ones from Brother Vellies. Our aspirational shoes.
3. Ruffles
Want to create a distinctive 'Synchronized Swimmer Gone to the Fair' ensemble? Try a ruffled skirt with a plain bodysuit, t-shirt and sneakers.
Alternatively, go for an off-the-shoulder ruffled number or a high-collared ruffled shirt, pairing it with an understated pair of jeans for that 'Retired Victorian Courtesan Gone Legit' feel.
4. Pleats
Pleated skirts are everywhere and come in the most gorgeous metallic colours and dusty pinks. So unless you have a serious aversion to repetition, then get yourself a midi length pleated skirt and pair it with mules or sneaks and a white tee.
5. Pink shoes
Candyfloss feet for the win! Pink shoes in every colour is where it's at. Puma just launched The Blaze Of Glory x Careaux x Graphic sneaks (R1 899), featuring PUMA Trinomic tooling; but we are also eyeing pink footwear in patent leather and suede.
Apply said footwear to all the above, and voila, you are basically now a unicorn.
