An article in the December issue of British Vogue by writer Kathleen Baird-Murray has labelled cleavage as so last season. Oh dear, you might think. What am I going to do with my boobs now that Vogue has spoken? Sell them? Give them to charity?
In the article, entitled Desperately Seeking Cleavage, Baird-Murray talks about how we’re seeing a decline in cleavage everywhere from the red carpet to the fashion runways. “The tits will not be out for the lads. Or for anyone else, for that matter,” she says.

She also talks about how differently female stars, from Eva Herzigova (who was the star of that famous “Hello Boys” Wonderbra ad from the ‘90s) to selfie star Emily Ratajkowski show off their cleavage.
And to make matters worse, they also did a poll on their Twitter page and 11% of people think “cleavage is over”

Now, my first reaction to this news was something like this:
BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS NOT A FASHION ACCESSORY. Remember when Elle told us freckles were so next season?
READ MORE: Elle says freckles are going to be “on trend” next season. What’s next: legs for winter?
But then I realised just how bloody absurd this actually is and then I was a little bit more like:
But I’m not the only one who thinks this is stupid. Twitter (thank goodness) was not having any of this shit and trolled the hell out of Vogue.
Let me pack mine away at the back of my cupboard and hope they're back in style for autumn/winter 2017. https://t.co/YBnXoZImth

I'm glad Vogue has declared the cleavage over because it gives me ample time to get rid of my old boobs and get new ones from Topshop

Suddenly, billions of breasts leap off of their 'owners' whilst screaming in agony
The fact that vogue is now trying to imply that woman show their cleavage for men is just stupid as fuck. We're back to that era again?

While this isn't about big vs small breasts, it's still continuing to police women's bodies. It's time to stop @BritishVogue @KathleenBM

@BritishVogue @KathleenBM why isn't one of the options "it's my body and I dress it for no one but myself"
