#MondayMotivation: 3 ways to make turquoise part of your vibe

accreditation

The pastel shade of pink was good for its season but it’s high time to make room for experimenting with other colours.

Towards the close of 2017, the colour institute Pantone announced Ultra Violet 18-3838 as the reigning colour in design, fashion and all creative spaces for 2018.

According to Pantone, this purple shade was selected as it is believed to inspire artistic creativity and spirituality among other positive things. But no colour enters a season on its own so we can enjoy other complementary palettes.

This season, Ultra-Violet’s colour sister that silently dominating is turquoise otherwise known as Pantone’s Hawaiian surf 18-4538.

The vibrant oceanic hue comes like a holiday, offering a fresh break from pinks and lilacs. Not only that, ancient cultures consider the turquoise gemstone to be one that carries wealth according to Crystal Cure.

So seriously, if this belief is anything to go by, it’s all the more reason for you to stick to this calming shade of blue this autumn and of course we’ve got the fashion inspo to go with it.

Wrap it like it's hot

Make your waist the focus of attention with wrap dresses and waist belts. The die-hard trench is always a goodie especially for the cooler days ahead. For maximum impact throw in vinyl and florals, which are always autumn/winter faves.

Try knits

Do the most by sticking only to textured knits right now. You can never get it wrong with a touch of gold metallic.
