#MondayMotivation: add some texture and oomph

accreditation

Layer

Time to start carrying a light-weight item of clothing along with you. Booo! I know, but you simply must.

The bomber is still boss, so opt for one in dusty pink, teal or forest green for an on trend vibe.

Peach and pink hair

This is unfortunately just for blondes and those sporting bleached-hair, but peach and pink or peachy-pink hair is still bae.

Try Indola Color Style Mousse semi-permanent dye for blonde. It lasts for a few weeks and can totally up your mood come winter:

Velvet

Definitely the toast of the season, autumn will be velvet-plagued. Don't overdo it, but a velvet top, jacket, pleated skirt or pair of heels will all be great additions to a basic wardrobe.

Get some uber comfy Block Heel Trucker Sandals, R130, MRP.

Or this velvet dress from Zara.

Pointy shoes and kitten heels

This throwback shoe is currently THE most beloved shoe of the fashion cult. Get it now - in comfort and in kittened heel.

Flats at H&M, R329.

And kitten heels at MRP, R169.99.

Hair accessories

If you're like me, a gal who has an affinity for keeping your hair tied up, you can now add some jewellery to your hair for a polished 'up do.

Shop this divine textured barrette by local designer Waif:

Crimped hair

The '80s hair trend is back and unless you have a crimping tool, I'd recommend you go the plaiting route to create this look. See how here.

Don't do your full head, just stick to a crimped and teezed (how is this happening again?!) high ponytail for a modern update.
