#MondayMotivation: Low waistlines are on the rise

accreditation

Low-rise jeans are making a comeback and, honestly, it was really only a matter of time.

Take a trip down the nineties and noughties and you'll get flashbacks of the hip-hugging, stomach-flashing denims we all wore.

Well, it’s time to say hello again to the low-rise kid of the denim family. Make no haste to get rid of your beloved high waists just yet, for they will also be back.

Signs of the low-waist revolution have been spotted on the streets and featured in Spring/Summer 2017 runway shows by Tommy Hilfiger and Alexander McQueen. From cropped mom denims and ripped boyfriend jeans to the super-skinny version, there's a pair one for almost every kind of women.

Kendall Jenner was spotted recently on the streets of Paris wearing super low-waist denims.

Like its high-waist and mid-rise counterparts, one can only anticipate a generous offering of bold and quirky finishes for this 'new' trendy trouser:

There are endless ways of wearing this trend and, if you dare, you can relive your teens by pairing it with a super cropped top to stir up some sweet nostalgia (now without permission from your parents).

If, however, the years have not been kind to your midsection and you’re not dead keen on flashing, a blouse that hits or covers your hips or a chic bodysuit will do the trick.

The greatest trick to getting it right with super low waist trousers is to make a good fitting belt your friend. It will secure your pants from falling and achieve ultimate comfort. Are you ready to rock this denim trend again?
