Tell us about your brand.
Isabel de Villiers is a body diversity clothing brand celebrating all the shapes and sizes of women. The label has a mix of modern, classic and arty pieces with a clear brand aesthetic of clean lines and figure flattering silhouettes with multi-functional features. Our values are based on body positivity and the emotional thread a garment can weave in our lives. Our headquarter is a sunny studio in Cape Town where each garment is ethnically manufactured by a small team of super talented women. We only produce small quantities of each style to ensure quality and exclusivity.
What got you started?
After working in the industry for a couple of years, I became aware of a big need for local designer brands catering for all shapes and sizes. I launched the brand in 2012. We have been growing and learning since them, finding our feet in the industry. We are lucky to have the best clients in the world.

What are you currently working on?
We just opened Convoy, a store with other talented local designers in Bree street, Cape Town. We are grading patterns and cutting styles for summer production in the studio. We are planning to shoot the Spring/Summer look book in August.
