As a tall girl, people always assume that I can pull off almost anything. This is actually pretty true. Yes, sorry guys.
That said, there are a few items that tall women can find challenging to wear and that should be approached with caution. They are:
1. Certain cropped tops
There is nothing wrong with wearing crops, but on a tall torso, they tend to be way too short. Think Miley Cyrus short! So choose them wisely and always pair them up with high waisted bottoms.
2. Baggy clothes
Avoid baggy clothes. They do nothing for your curves and can make you look really gigantic and shapeless.
3. Mini skirts
Being taller means that many people look up at you (literally), so wearing a short mini can become... problematic. If you know what I mean. And like crops, minis tend to be shorter on tall women.
I'm not saying you should avoid these items, only that you should exercise caution when you do wear them. Finding clothes that complement your height can be tricky and it has taken me quite some time to find what works for both my height and size.
These days I own my height. So I'd like to share these tips so you can enjoy yours too:
1. High-waisted jeans are your BFF
High-waisted jeans show off your legs without you even having to show any skin. And even if the jeans are a little bit short you can always complete the look with a pair of strap heels or roll them by an inch or two and add cool sneaks.
2. Maxi dress
No shade, but no one can pull off a maxi dress like a tall girl. Come summer, you can wear one with strappy sandals every damn day and slay all the way.
3. Don’t shy away from heels
Wearing flats won't hide your height, so you might as well make peace with it and enjoy sexy heels. As tall as I am you will rarely find me in flats. I love any shoe with a bit of heel because they elongate my legs even more.
4. Knee-high boots
These are a must-have as they make your legs look longer and slimmer and can be worn with almost anything.
5. Keep it simple
Try to keep your look clean and don’t overdo it with accessories. Your height is already pretty epic all by itself.
