5 Sneaky Beauty Tips

accreditation
Shave less often
Only use your razor at the end of your bath or shower routine. Why? The longer your skin is exposed to the warm water, the wider your pores become so you’re able to get closer to the root of the hair follicle – this means you don’t have to shave as often.

Avoid razor rash and prevent ingrown hairs
•    Avoid using a blunt tool – it is more abrasive on the skin.
•    Steer clear of alcohol-based gels, soaps and cleansers – they are harsh on the skin, more so in the bath/shower when pores are expanded.
•    Wear loose-fitting clothes after shaving – tight fabrics are known to cause irritations.
•    Don’t shave against the hair – smooth the blade gently in one direction, with the grain.
•    Keep your blades clean by covering it – leaving your razor lying around increases its exposure to germs and bacteria.

Greasy hair, but no time to wash it
No time for a shampoo? Don’t stress! Get rid of excess oil (temporarily) by dotting a few speckles of baby powder into your roots.

Use Vaseline as a soothing agent
Sudden rash or skin irritation? Fix it (or at least ease the discomfort) by applying unscented petroleum jelly to the affected area.

Get rid of dark under-eye circles
Banish the effects of a late night out with cutlery and a glass of ice cold water. Yes, we’re serious! Here’s how:
•    Dip two spoons in the water, allowing it to chill for a bit.
•    Then, place one over each eye for a few minutes, and
•    Repeat until the puffiness settles down.
