Beyonce: Too see-through?

Since the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce has appeared in public a few times and our entire team adored every single look that she’s worn so far. Until now.

The Love On Top hitmaker was snapped at this year’s Met Gala awards looking racier than ever in a jaw-dropping, transparent Givenchy frock.

And this is where our Women24 War of Words began.

“I mean on stage we can expect that – but on the red carpet? Really?” sighed our style-savvy intern, Zodidi.

“Excuse me?” our fashion ed, Kele responded sarcastically. “Are you blind? She looks gorgeous! And, jeez, her body is insane.”

“Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for the sequined embroidery. But, if it wasn’t for that, she’d be practically naked,” Zodidi said. This time, she didn’t sigh. She frowned at Kele.

“But look at the feathers. The drama. The diva-ness of it all. Beyonce is back, baby,” said Kele (practically drooling at her screen).

“Okay, her hair and make-up is flawless,” our surprisingly stubborn intern conceded. “But still. She pitched up on the red carpet in what is, essentially, A BATHING COSTUME WITH FEATHERS.”

Out of exasperation, the rest of the Women24 team figured there’s only one way to battle it out. A suggestion from Meagan, our resident pacifist: Put it to a vote!

That’s where you come in.

So, here’s the crux. Kele loves it. Zodidi hates it – adding, “Let’s knock some fashion sense into our delusional colleague”. And you, Women24ers, are about to help us decide.
