Mara Louw: "Fong kong" Louis Vuitton?

accreditation
While the stories started as speculation about the origin of the jacket, it has subsequently turned into the incorrect perception that Mara regularly buys fake brand names from questionable outlets.

Well the "Idols" judge has finally had her say about the jacket.

“I bought the jacket ten years ago from Sasha’s, a former boutique in Killarney for about R5000. It was long before Louis Vuitton formally opened business or started promoting their brand in South Africa and the brand was not as well known here as it is now.  I never thought it was a Luis Vuitton outfit and it wasn’t sold to me as such, said Mara. "I bought it because I found it beautiful and I love beautiful clothes."

Mara said buying fake clothing is against her principles. She said buying fake goods is like people that pirate music and sell it.

Do you think that Idols' ratings will drop if the jacket is indeed fake?
