The heat in Johannesburg has become quite unbearable and everyday, I literally, wake up wishing for some rain or a summer chill in the air. All just so I can wear some of my favourite outerwear pieces like this amazing reversible jacket from my mother.
Worn in this post with a ribbed knit tube skirt from Mr Price’s collection with Tamara Chérie Dyson – the winner of last years Elle Rising Star Design Award and a pair of metallic Tosoni heels from Spitz; this jacket is not only on trend colour-wise, but it’s also incredibly versatile as it can be worn across seasons and if styled right it can be both smart or casual.
Whether you call it army green or olive green, this neutral hue can easily be integrated into your wardrobe because of how effortlessly it can be paired with white, black, pastels, muted muddied colours like the dusty pink skirt I am wearing and different shades of army green.
Some of my favourite ways to style this spring/summer-friendly jacket include wearing it with a pair of denim jeans and a white tee or with a black fitted dress and heels with the jacket caped over my shoulders to add a little bit of edge and masculinity to the look.
