Buying Clothes on a Budget

accreditation
Do you know how much you spend on clothing and accessories each month or is it just a blur?  Many of us don’t like to discuss, never mind think about how much we spend.  If you find that you keep buying clothing, but still have nothing to wear, then it’s time to re-assess.

Here are my top tips to making your wardrobe budget work for you:

1.    Decide on a budget.  Look carefully at what you are actually spending, what you can afford and what you want to spend.  Then commit to that amount.

2.    Avoid just buying on accounts.  Limiting yourself to stores that offer accounts limits your buying potential. There are many smaller stores out there that offer good value and something unique.

3.    Take a look at what is in your wardrobe.  Ensure that you have a clear idea of what is in there so you can access what you need BEFORE going shopping.

4.    Do some wardrobe and budget planning.  A little bit of planning can go a long way to saving you time and money.  Here is a smart way to plan your wardrobe and spend your budget.  I call this the budget triangle.
