Your winter wardrobe solutions

Our über-cool, casual colleague, Zeni, is sick of living in denims Monday to Friday, but since our offices are based in central Cape Town, where it's fast become chilly and windy,  dresses (even the thicker ones for winter) aren't really an option.

How else can she update her look?

In the hopes to find an answer, we took to Facebook and asked our fans what they suggested she should add to her closet – and they had some very practical ideas:

Vion-inez: Oh my word! Leggings and jeggings! Long knitwear which you can rock with leggings and boots is good.  Cardigans with a top underneath and small figure belt. The list is endless. Give me some money – I'll go buy her a new wardrobe.

Annalize: Leggings, boots, snoods. And my new love this winter is A-line shift dresses! The simplest is to get opaques, boots, and layer your clothing.

Lolo: Because she likes her jeans, brown knee-length boots, scarf and few jerseys with a figure belt.

Kea: A cape and chunky knits.

Nadine: Tights, boots, skirts and scarves.

Melanie: A maxi skirt, leggings and knits.

Linda:
Scarves!

Buziwe: A jersey with a figure belt and tight boots will do.

Annalize: And blazers. They heat up any pair of jeans.

Leoni: Some scarves, boots, jerseys and maybe a hat, are always comfortable to wear with jeans.
