3 easy DIY Projects

It’s Women’s Day on the 9th of August, which means you’ll have time on your hands and an excuse to do (or make) something just for YOU. Here are three DIY projects that will keep you busy and make you proud to be a woman.

1.    Skinny coloured jeans

All you need is a pair of white jeans and some dye. Simply turn the white pair inside out, place your favourite skinny’s on top, pin them to the right size and sew! Once they’re “skinny”, dye them in any colour you like. For more detailed instructions and some pics, visit pretty providence.com

2.    Neon toe shoes

Turn your old boring beige shoes into show stoppers by simply spray painting the toes! Stick some tape over the part of the shoe that you don’t want sprayed - and go crazy. Greenweddingshoes.com chose a neon pink, but you can be creative. Here are some step by step pics of the cute idea.

3.    Picture frame earring holders

Not only is this a super functional idea, but it will look pretty too. You’ll need an old picture frame, paper and some pretty lace. Simply take apart the frame and remove the glass. Take the backing of the frame and trace the outline onto the paper you would like to have show through the lace. Cut out the paper — it should be the same size as the backing. Then add the lace and put the frame back together. Voila! Visit the modclothblog to learn more.
