1. Drape all your furniture with white sheets to give it that haunted, abandoned look.
2. Switch off all the lights and only illuminate your home by candle light.
3. Print black and white photography’s of sad and frightened people, and place them near a fireplace or make a shrine.
4. Draw images or words on recycling cardboard bags (like the ones you get at a takeaway store) and insert candles in them and place them on your porch or staircase.
5. Make mummy jars by covering glass jars with bandages or toilet paper. Make and stick on paper eyes and then insert a candle in the jar.
6. Fill a see-through bowl or jar with water and add yellow, red or blue food colouring to tint the water. Put in leaves, rocks or sticks in the bowl and freak out everyone you know.
7. Take plastic cups and use a black marker to draw faces on them. Insert LED candles and do NOT use fire candles.
8. Make bloody hand and foot prints by mixing glue and red food colouring together. Dip your palm in and stick on mirrors, windows or tiled surfaces.
9. Make glow in the dark balloon ghouls by inserting glow sticks in a balloon and blowing them up. According to HGTV, once blown up and tied, draw a face of a ghost with a black marker. Or better yet blow smoke in the balloon and tie the smoke in before it evaporates.
10. Make a foul-looking bowl by inserting broken egg shells, used tea bags and use glue to make cobwebs with your hand.
