Enough storage
It’ll look unsightly if you have to pack away some of your clothes in a suitcase because there’s not enough storage. When you do go apartment shopping, make sure you keep an eye for those with plenty of space.
Thick walls
You want to make all the noise you want without worrying about your neighbours hearing you. On the other hand you don’t want to hear your neighbour’s loud music or bed sounds when they’re having sex.
Same age group neighbours
There’ll be days when you’ll be bored out of your skull and you’ll need to hang out with people in the same group and preferably a couple as well. This makes for great impromptu double dates.
Shopping centre in close proximity
Deciding who’s going to the shops to buy bread and milk on a Saturday morning can be irritating if you don’t live close to any shops. Having the luxury of a shopping centre close-by will give you time more morning cuddles.
Find a two-bedroom house
You’re probably thinking if it’s only just the two of you, why do need to spend more money on a second bedroom? Wait until one of you gets a contagious virus, or you fight or visitors coming over. You don’t want anyone to be camping on your expensive couch right?
Great date night spots
As a couple you know what you enjoy doing the most. Be it ten pin bowling, going to Sunday markets, the cinema, or visiting a sushi bar. When settling for a place to stay make sure there is at least one of your favourite spots within five kilometres. You don’t want to let go of your ‘traditions’ because of distance.
