Also storing your milk on a shelf in your fridge instead of in the door will keep your milk fresher for longer because when it’s in the door it’s exposed to fluctuating temperatures as you open and close the door. How long should I keep wine once it’s been opened?

According to the Huffington Post, you should keep still whites, reds and rosés for a maximum of two to three days after opening. Champagne and sparkling wines shouldn’t really be left over since they’re not really that nice the morning after. Fortified wines like Port, Sherry or Madeira can last up to week due to their high alcohol and sugar content.

Do I really need to refrigerate eggs?

It seems there’s a divide on this one. The Daily Mail actually did an experiment after talking to scientists and chefs who were split on the issue. Many chefs say that unrefrigerated eggs are better for cooking while others say that refrigerating them means less risk of food poisoning. It seems that it doesn’t really matter though. According to the experiment the Daily Mail did, it’s perfectly okay to keep your eggs out of the fridge and there’s really no advantage to refrigerating them. So rather keep them out of the fridge since the temperature of eggs could affect how those recipes turn out.

How long can you keep boiled eggs?

Boiled some eggs but didn’t end up eating them all? It’s okay. According to The Kitchn, you can keep boiled eggs, peeled or unpeeled, for up to one week before they go off.

Should I store my potatoes and onions together?

Nope, you should keep them apart from each other. According to Stilltasty.com, each vegetable releases gases and moisture that will cause the other to rot faster than normal.
