No more weed in Amsterdam

accreditation
If the new conservative Dutch government has their way and implement this ruling, then travelers would essentially be barred from purchasing the drug in and around the cannabis haven.

Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten stated earlier in the week that only Dutch citizens and residents would be allowed to buy weed in the future. "Not tourists. We don't like that," he declared.

"This Cabinet,” added spokesman Wim van der Weegen, “wants to bring marijuana cafes back to what they were once intended to be: for people who live in the immediate area, not large-scale criminal trade and not tourism."

Sure you want to go that route, dearest Amsterdam? Not afraid of the impact this regulation would have on your economy?

Do you think this policy is a smart move?
