We run through how to style the structured bob.

You can add volume into a bob by the way it's cut - so take Ross Charles' tips to your hairdresser with you next time you want a style change.

"Straight across scissoring will help you create this look but for ultra-thick and curly textures you can soften the ends slightly to break it up just a touch," Ross, owner of Ross Charles' Hairdressing, told Cover Media. "You could also use a variety of razor techniques for the internal structure to either remove excess weight or just to create shape in the desired areas without impacting the finished one-length blunt look."

It's up to you if you choose to wear your bob in tousled waves or poker straight - both look chic and elegant and can complement one's individual style.

If you are leaning towards a bob with body and movement, Karen Thompson, owner of KAM Hair and Body Spa, advises blow-drying your hair with your head upside down to add even more volume.

"Once dry, use a large barrel curling iron and tong hair in a large section away from your face," she added. "Follow this with a spritz of sea salt spray and hairspray to hold your style in place and add a tousled, 'undone finish.'"

Or, if you want to go for a straight finish, as sported by stars including model-of-the-moment Bella Hadid, then take some tips from Andrew Collinge, celebrity hairdresser and owner of CO by Andrew Collinge.

"When blow-drying your hair, it is important to use a lotion to protect and nourish your hair, the CO by Andrew Collinge Blowdry Lotion works really well for this," he told Cover Media. "Use a straightening iron to smooth over your hair, then spread some CO by Andrew Collinge Argan Oil through the mid lengths and ends to seal any dry or split ends and add some gloss."
