Your goals
It’s always important to track progress and the best way to do this is to look back at what you’ve accomplished. Are you planning on finding a new job? What is it that you’re working on? No matter how big or small your goals may be, as partners you should be supportive of each other. We know how difficult it is to keep your word and stick to the plan, but discussing it with your partner will help you stick to them and encourage you to work even harder.
Your health
Your overall well-being isn’t something you would normally talk to your partner about because generally people hate nagging. Do you experience backache that just won’t go away? Tell your partner about it. Who else will show you compassion besides your man?
Your struggles
This is great to do at the end of each week. Let your partner in on the struggles you came across during the week. Be it professionally, or personally, even if he contributed to your frustrations. In return, ask him to do the same, you’ll feel more closer knowing that you’ve always got someone to support you.
The good times
Who doesn’t love reminiscing? This can help form a sense of goodwill between you two. Reminiscing also makes you appreciate how far you’ve come as a couple.
The future
This is a good conversation starter if you want to take things to a higher level. Follow up with personal development questions like where does he want to see himself in the next five to ten years. The future might seem blurry right now but It’s never too early to start.
